Some of you may have seen my WIP post, where I was modeling a mage, here:

Well I'm pretty much finished modelling/UV/Texturing and wanted some opinions on improvement. Turns out it's 986 Polys, not 700! I must have forgotten to triangulate some of the polys in my last thread.
The hands are slightly screwed up, I need to add eyebrows and there's some problems with the normals around the mouth.
Edit: Arrgh I meant Mage Rage, not Rage Mage!

about the normals, make shure are vertex are weld togheter around the mouth, that myght be a problem, also check smooth groups.

Thanks Mustrix, I played with it so the verts on the inside of the mouth are in a separate smoothing group to the rest of the face and that seems to have fixed it. There's a screen bellow of the finished face.
I'm going to add a cape and some hair which will be boned separately so they flap when he runs, and a staff that El_Goorf made for me. I aso need to sort out this texture streching around the neck, although the cape may cover that...

Edit: hmmm I should add some eyebrows too...

OK, Added the cloak, double sided the polys of cloak and the sleeves, played around with the texture a bit, put in El_Goorf's staff. The crystal will be made semi-transparent with a texture, but still a plain grey/white. Then we'll position a hardware light inside it and use particle for different spells. This will make the crystal appear to glow diffrernt colours for different spells, and with the particle trails follwing the animation, it should be very cool.

With all the double siding and new staff the whole model is 1320 Polys (Triangulated).
Still some things I want to do before I start animation though.

jrowe !! much much better, smooth groups soemtimes can be treaky, nowdays theyre are responsible more for my headhecks the for the modelling itself , between, anychances u could provide a uv map so people who wants can reskin the model ? i had an ideia for his suit that i wanted to test out, or is this model for a sealed project ?

Sorry, but no. This is for a "super secret project", besides my UV mapping is terrible and it'd be an embaressment to show anyone !

Sorry for not updating in a while. He's boned and in the animation process. I have some nice attacks going on, that should look good ingame. There's a bit of a problem with the sleeves of his robes (as you can see, but apart from that it's going well.
