it looks great something like that would have been good for the XWP project i was working on a while ago but it's on hold.

as i said great model and i hope you texture it cause it'll look even better. (unless you'r a really bad texturer but if you can model like that textures shouldn't be too hard)

This is quite a nice model but as always I seem to have something to say.. *look onto post to see if any critique is wanted* I'll just take Tell me what you think as.. C+C wanted

There are a few problems I see.. some of them design issues for looks.. and other for functionality. First of.. the polycount for this one seems to be a lot.. compared to the details in the model.. I see a lot of your polys has gone into the guns.. which is a bad idea. you should simplify them a bit and try rather to add more polys to the base model. Which will help fix the other problem I see.. that the model seems to organic. The way the main upper body is shaped is alright.. though the lower body should probably be jointed a bit more machanicly. I dont know if you want this orginaic look or not.. but you should in any case try to make the joints show.. so people can easly see how things work.. Kinda a Metal Gear Rex vs. Metal Gear Ray in design.. gemometric vs. organic.. but even an organic s'designs needs gemometric joints etc to make it belivable that it actually works. I see you've somehow jointed the feet.. but somehow that too seems to organic for me.

You dont have to agree with me. these are just suggestions.

whoa! looks awesome, spazuh! i like the cockpit part. it'd just be hell on a graphics card if you had multiple tanks at the same time.

My Graphics card can handle it. Check out my new hall model that i've posted my thread on, its got a total of 110274 polygons and my pc runs smoothly! And i havn't even finnished it yet. I diddn't realy make the tank for a game as such. Btw..... if anyone wants the tank model i'll be more than happy to give it to you.... as long as i can find the file

i have an intel "extreme" like 8 or 16 MB card. i don't think i can handle 1 or 2 tanks.

I agree its too round. Unless thats the feel your going for, make 'smarter' use of smoothing groups instead of (i'm assuming) just meshsmoothing the whole thing.

without guns the tank's only about 2308 tris which is perfectly usable if there aren't too many. however there is a lot of wasted polys which using the pmesh functions in the mview utility (in the dx sdk) i have got rid of without any loss of detail or smoothness and the animation was retained. this came to 1238 tris.
