Hi

I saw somewhere here on this forum that someone asked about the possibility of making the enemies drop dead when the game starts, so you could be able to make a sort of accident-like thingy... something..
But I found a way to make the enemies die when you start the game:

Just set their HurtFall to 0!
They will die instantly

That's an easy way to do it, without any scripting.

Have a nice day

I don't think that will work. The manual says the following about HurtFall:
Quote: "Sets the distance beyond which a fall will hurt the entity
or player. A value of zero means any vertical landing will
hurt, where a value of 200 means the player can safely
drop two layers before it will hurt."

First, they would have to actually fall, not just spawn dead, and the "hurt" might not be enough to kill them if they did in fact fall.

Setting the animate property to 60 (Laying Spawn) or 61 (Laying Idle) and make them immobile might work better.

Isn't it that a value of zero means that they will take damage
from a fall from distance of 0 wich is what they are starting at.
So they should take damage from the time they spawn to the
time they die.
I think "KLU 007" is right "OTS Software"

jcleaver:

Did you set the enemy health to 1?

I tried that, and it worked quite well.

Yes, I did. I even tried placing enemy on box and setting waypoint so he would step off; but all he would do was stand stere moving his feet doing the moonwalk. I figured I would try to force him to fall a little. Without the box, he moved correctly, but did not die.
