Hello all!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the conversion of EZrotate for Dark Game SDK is ALMOST complete.
It works slightly different, but offers more freedom than the DBpro version. Instad of just working with one single internal matrix (like in the DBpro version) you can create as many custom matrices as you like.
Hopefully this should all be complete within the next week!

Regards,
Ron Erickson

Wouldn't it be better to just release it as a static library?

No.
Re-structuring the code has many advantages. Not only will it be more efficient, it will be more flexible.

Things are progressing nicely

Good news

I finished yesterday. I also have already converted the FIRST example. I want to work through the others to be sure I didn't screw-up any of the features in the re-write.

EZrotate adds 3 classes. Here is what they look like in the header:
class EZro_Vec
{
public:
double x;
double y;
double z;
};

class EZro_Mat
{
public:
EZro_Vec xrow;
EZro_Vec yrow;
EZro_Vec zrow;
EZro_Vec pos;
};

class EZro_Quat
{
public:
double w;
double x;
double y;
double z;
};

Attached is what the code looks like for example 1. Now, on to example 2

Quick update:
I'm still converting the examples. I'm now on the 6th

I would REALLY like to get this out in the next couple of days. I still have to create a helpfile for it though too. So, more than likely it won't be finished until next week.

Sorry....
Things have been delayed a bit. I'm hoping to finish this all next week. I've been really busy both at home and at work the last few days and have had NO time to work on it. Hopefully things will settle back down next week.

Hello Guyon!
Long time no see I hope things are going well for you.

As for your question, yes, you only have to buy it once. Once it is released, it will be added to the EZrotate download.

I've sent everything to Mike. Hopefully it will be released soon.

Sounds good. It may be a while before I make it out that way again. My wife and I just had our thrid child a couple of weeks ago and our "going out" has been temporarily impaired. lol
I'd also still like to take you up on the martial-arts session some time. Things are a bit too hectic right now though.

EZrotate for DarkSDK should be released this week!

...and with the newsletter, it has been officially released!

http://darkbasicpro.thegamecreators.com/?f=ezrotate

If you own EZrotate (for DBpro) already, you can just re-download from the orders section of your profile. If you do not yet own it, you can purchase it via the link above.

In addition to the DBpro plugin, you now get:
-EZrotate lib and header file
-11 example programs for EZrotate DarkSDK
-A helpfile for EZrotate DarkSDK

I'm looking forward to getting some feedback!

Regards,
Ron
