RickV - Referring to this:

Even better idea: A competition on the best FPSC game of the year! They make it, send in the entries, and make a download for it, and the person who get's the most rating for it, they win $100!

Now I think that sounds great
What do you think, RickV?

I think $100 for a year long game compo is a little off, If PC Gamer are up for it, a compo with them and a bigger prize would be an awesome way to launch FPSC.

Like with DBC, they had a compo and the prizes were just insane, like a new PC AND a trip to E3 or something like that for 1st place. I don't think we'll see that sort of prizes, but it's certainly an option.

I think it's a lot less work to make some nice fully light-mapped screen shots. We may do an FPSC game compo later this year, but this isn't it.

It has been released four days ago and already there is confidence to win a competition from using the software We must have done something right! There will be competitions, fear not. Good prizes, for sure. Right now we are finding our feet and coming to terms with the unspellable laviathan we have created. The EA userbase will drive the direction of V1 as much as anything else we might think is important!
