2D All the way! / Moving images

i dont understand how people make images move around like objects is there a way i can load animated images and move them around like objects?? cause i was planning on making a 2d game i know regular 2d images cant move in the z dimension but how do i move them up down left and right??

I think some people just slap a 2D image onto a plain object (a flat rectangle that can be manipulated in 3D space)

Just Paste Image. Then change the X/Y coordinates to move it, and CLS, or paste the background down over the old image.

I thought he wanted to make a 2D image move around like in Doom.

This Was A Little 2d Pong Game I'am Now Working On,
In The Code Below I Load My Images Then Paste Them As Sprites,
And In The Main Loop Is How You Move The Sprites(Images)

Load Image "Bat2.bmp",2
Load Image "Cube.bmp",3

Hi, not to hyjack post but my simple game which will be like a 2d game maker....I only need a little bit of help.
I can seem to make a sprite move left and right...how do I do it?
