A curious one:

I added a room on Level 0 and one on Level 19. (Neither had a ceiling - may be key to what I saw.) I cut a hole in the floor of 19 and added a downlift. I stepped on it in test mode and went down to Level 0. So far so good. When I stepped back on it I ascended to 19 and kept on going. It appeared to finally stop at Level 63 (Actual coordinate was 6330).

Here's the Infinite Lift File if anyone wants to see it in action. (And I have stepped off only to die when I hit the floor of Level 19
