it there a dll that allows you to use windows font files without putting them in the windows font folder? for DBC

You can use the WinAPI for that.

osiris, entering "gdi32.dll" means it loads this common windows interface DLL. And because Darkbasic needs directX, you must be running windows. So every computer that can run your game can load that DLL.

But depending on what DBC version you have you can't call dll functions. I think DBCEnhanced can.

ok I got the loop thing, anywho, if id wanted to use the print command and the input command can I change fonts there?

No u cannot change the print/input font. Plus they are really basic functions u dont really want to use them - create your own input scheme using inkey$ etc.
