After pondering the issue for some time, i have decided to release a collection of ten 3d models of real world weapons modelled by me to the community. feel free to use them, they are free of charge.
the models are currently untextured and are supplied in the .ms3d-format for the popular 3dmodeller Milkshape 3d.
the polygon counts range from about 500 to about 1000 polygons.
here are some pictures of the models: (i hope they are shown on the message???)

please read the readme before you use the models

Yeah, they look excellent, but fix the normals to make sharp edges where they should be, and they'll look 10 times better.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

thanks for the replies, i agree that there is quite a loss of detail due to the smooth shading..
errmmm maybe noob-question, but how do i change the normals? i think theyll also look much better with textures
oh and ps., can you *see* the pictures? i *can't*! i also cant reach my website

The pictures were up the first day, and now they are gone. I suspect that your website went belly up for some reason, which would explain why you cannot reach your web site.

Yes. Try reading the third sentence of the first post instead of looking at the pretty pictures.

I think your verticies are messed up around the handel and under barrel on the outside of the magazine lock. I also see some distortion of edges on your tirgger guard. Try making new faces for those and make sure to weld your model together. Other than the distortions, the models are pretty nice
