I discovered this morning that there was more to FPSC than just the night sky So, I figured I could save everyone some time by posting some panorama shots of all 15 Skycube options built into FPSC. It took me a few hours, but I'm finally done. I hope you all enjoy the new feature...

Nice.. just one request - if you are displaying the skycubes at their max resolution on your site could you slap a "copyright" message or your web site logo or something across them ala a watermark - just so no-one could save the image and use it themselves. If they aren't full size then don't worry about this, just don't want to give out the media we created (and you guys paid for!) for free

yep, fair enough comment. Thats exactly what I thought initially! But they arent full size, just large enough to see them in their glory.

Ya, I wasn't going to post the 512x512 originals. But, I can add a watermark just to be safe. I just thought this would be helpful if everyone could preview them all at once.

Oh yeah, you know your site? It keeps crashing for me and stuff, I wait a sec and it suddenly goes into a quicktime page and plays a clicking sound?!?

Jordan, it's looking for the quicktime plugin becuase I added a mouseOver event on those footer links to play a sound. I'm going to take that off of there in the next few days. It's only 'fluff' anyway.

@Coldnews...thanks for the comments. I'm glad it is useful. Hopefully I can get more people involved by submitting things to make it even better. I've got the foundation and the management covered, the rest is up to the community.

Well I could send in my almost completed (still needs lightmapping, and a few touchups here and there) Deathmatch level. It wouldn't be any fun, since there are no monsters, and there isn't any multiplayer.

I know it's going to take a while to get some games in. What I'm hoping for mostly is for some folks to start whipping up some tutorials for those of us who are apparently clueless (i.e. the "wall" issue)

it'd give us all the chance to learn the level so we know all the camping spots before official release!

Thanks,

I'm not sure there are too many camping spots, besides the ones I designed intentionally. It's just good all-around killing in a five story room with a few siderooms.

Seth,

At this point, the "upload" fuction is limited to FTP access only, which doesn't require viewing any of the site pages. But, I will fix the quicktime issue asap.

I hope you were joking. I am pretty sure you were joking, but just in case. It's a Deathmatch level. Two or more players shoot at each other until they die.

Just want to add my compliments to the general nodding that the FPSCREATORS site is really shaping up nicely. It looks and feels like a lot of work and energy has gone into it, and its contents too. This guy has definately earned a drink from me, should I ever leave my coding dungeon!

Thanks for the comments from everyone about the site. But, to get a nod from "the man", well that's pretty cool! All my life I've wanted to go and visit Europe. My kids are almost all grown now, so it won't be long and I'll stop by for that drink, Lee.
