Hi online. I am a new member here and have been searching the forums for 2 hours now looking for a solution but to no avail. This is what I do...model a simple object, add bones + skin modifier, animte bones, export to a .x format with pandasoft (I have tried the several settings suggested but to no avail), I put it into DBP. The model is there, fully textured, I can see the bones, but there is no animation. The mesh just sits there, and so do the bones. I used the play oject command and also the loop object, and have set up my code to see the frames being procesed one by one. But the model does nothing while the frames state continues.
Please could someone help me.
Thanks very much. Oh and Im using 3d max 6.

your not the only one with animation problems. i've not been able to sus it out either.

is it animated in max using keyframes so that when u hit the play button the object moves? coz if it isn't then that could be why

but if u are then i got no idea y it isn't animating. some1 out there should know whats happening at least.

system specs: AMD XP 3000+, 512Mb DDR333, nvidia ge-force FX 5600 128MB, 1x8Gb & 1x40Gb HHD, 52x CD drive, DVD+RW 4x, Sound Blaster 128.... all in a Nokia 8310 case :0D

Animated models usually work fine for me from 3ds max with panda exporter, except on some models some of the parts will be placed far away from where they should be, like an arm floating 3 feet above where it was modeled! I also noticed that it seems if your frames arent visible when you export sometimes it wont work. By that I mean the little squares in your timeline aka the key frames. Probably won't help much but the settings I use for panda are:

Mesh Definition and Materials checked
Include Animations and Bones checked
Geometric checked
Mesh Normals and Mapping coordinates checked

**Animation Panel***
Position Scale and Rotate checked
Key Frames Checked
Animation sampling rate 30

***X file settings panel***
Binary with compression checked
sub frame hierarchy checked
include animation options checked (closed, linear positions)
Left Handed Axis checked
