Hey guys,

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I'd like some feed back on the RPG town I made for my High School Computer Fair. Give it a little bit of time to download. Here's the link:

Thanks in advance,
Steve

OK Trying now.

Edit: Played it. It could turn into something good but I had a few graphcal issues and the collision wasn't very accurate.

Nice start, same as above.

Looking at the source (I've never looked at Javascript before), it seems quite short : Is that all the code? (I don't know about JS btw) It would be cool to learn to make browser games...

Very cool, would have liked to have gone in the house though

It's not JavaScript, it's Java

-For those of you with errors, I'd guess you're using Firefox? Doesn't work FF, don't know why, and don't care why.
- Codewarrior by default puts a "The source." link under the applet. No, that's not all the source, that's just one class.
- The one graphical issue you're probably refering to is the white block that appears when you face left. I don't know why this happens; when I run it off my HD it looks just fine.
- The reason collision didn't seem accurate is just because some of the tiles (e.g.: the fence) don't consume the entire 30x30 block. You wouldn't notice if I've done it the way most RPGs tend to: that is, making it the pressing a key moves you to the center of the next tile. I simply chose not to do movement that way.

I used FF and it broked itself. IE works though.

You might want to draw the tiles so that we aren't getting confused about the collision. Otherwise it's pretty awesome.

I'm not a jerk, I'm just not a fan of firefox.

BCDP, I didn't draw the tiles. I got them for free off of www.rpgmaker2000.de. I recommend that site for free RPG tilesets.(just make sure you give proper credit.)

Thanks for the input so far guys.

The graphics are very smooth and fir together well but when I was walking constantly the character would dissapear until I stopped. This may just be my slow i/net comp (500).

Looking good so far, keep working on it!

Whoa! just what i needed! only thing is, does the game have a point? or is it just "Look at what i got so far!" thing? i like what i see so far, and will give you credit if i am inspired, and educatd, by your code. Later!
