Hi,

Does anyone know if you can set the render window/view size of the screen for 2d operations? Basically what set camera view does, but with sprites/text.

One workaround is to paste an image/sprite with a transparent section for the view we do want to see, something like that, but 'tis just a trick though.

Cheers!

I don't think so, although it's probably covered by using buffer bitmaps and copying them onto the physical screen - just a little bit slow unfortunately.

There was talk some time ago in the DBPro section about a 2D pack for DBPro, and having seperate 2d screen areas, so you could do a split screen game, was requested by quite a few people.

One way of doing it would be to paste the images (I don't think sprites would work in this case) to a buffer bitmap, like Van sugested. But use the 'copy bitmap' command, it's a lot faster and simpler then using the back-buffer! How fast the whole thing will be, you'll only know when you get it working.

I don't suffer from insanity:

I enjoy every minute of it!
