I have seen some stupid stuff before, some very stupid stuff. I have seen a guy drive his car off a cliff, it was a small cliff, but yet it was still a cliff. That said, I have never seen anything as stupid as a "Terrorist Threat" generated from a fictional story about zombies. Stuff like this makes me sad to be an american, we cannot even write a damned story anymore.

America needs a serious reality check. Just because it talks about murder, dosen't mean the author is gonna murder someone. Look at all the authors such as Deen Koontz, Stephen King, and the likes. And this certain story in question mentions zombies. Whats the kid gonna do? Raise an army of zombies to take over a school?

Writing a story about zombies.... Me and a friend used to draw wars during our "drawing time" at... I think Kindergarden...

With dragons, and all the gory details. Magic line coming from magic glowing ball included...

Well, you must be talking about the governor of Kentucky, because, as stated in the article, that is a KY law. And even if it was linked to Bush, what's it got to do with him being religious? You liberals use the same argument over and over again, even when it doesn't apply.

For Example

Reasonable Person: "Maybe this law is in place, because of the many school shootings in this country. I believe, there was one in Kentucky as well."

Liberal: "NOPE. BUSH IS A GUN-TOTIN' PSYCHO WHO THINKS HE'S DIVINE!!! IN FACT, HE PROBABLY TAUGHT THOSE KIDS IN COLORADO HOW TO USE THEIR ASSAULT RIFLES. HE LET THAT LAW EXPIRE AFTERALL!! BUSH MAKES ME WEE MYSELF!"

This law sounds to me like something a liberal would write, actually. Reminds me of the politicians who like to blame video games for the teen problems in the U.S.

The only thing wrong with kids these days is not enough knock down, drag out, butt whoopins. Lets see them go out and rob someone (or anything else wrong) when they know pa will beat them within an inch of their life, heal them up for a week or so and beat them again for even thinking about it. I'm no religious man but I do believe in the saying "Spare the rod, spoil the child.".

Has America really not advanced in the last 50 years? - there was mass panic when a radio station narrated The War of the Worlds, and when the cubans scratched their butt without US legislated go-ahead.

It's not the stupid Americans I worry about, it's the smart ones - they seem to be vastly outnumbered and loosing the battle.

I agree with a law which tries to curb inciting violence - and particularly school violence. That's a good idea. But there doesn't seem to be any gradation of the law here - any interpretation of what the limits may be. It's a story about zombies ffs. He'll probably be indicted of a hate crime too - defamation of Zombie characters. They have rights too you know ...

Quote: "Good to see the old freedom of speech thing is going so well over there"

Apparently, the constitution does not grant freedom of speech. It simply states that the US can't pass a law which puts restrictions on freedom of speech. Good to see that's workin out for ya.

Equal rights for zombies? - sounds like a plan.

I'm off to make a picket sign and petition form right now .

I think first on the agenda should be:

* Zombie only evenings at the gym.
* Government aid to help Zombies back into education.
* Free parking at the mall for Zombies. (considering how much business they bring in, that's fair)
* The right for Zombies to vote, Michael Jackson would make a great first 'zombie' president.

haha nice one.

seriously guys think about this poor kid, he is at the moment locked up in some correctional facility all cause he watched too many horror flicks! i mean jesus christ i've wrote down so many ideas about lego gravity guns sucking bikini's off lego women, if i had of put school somewhere in those ideas i'd be locked up for sexual harrasment??! Im more worried about the kid himself in the "jail", he didn't commit any crime, just because some overzealous judge got told by some crazy redneck lawyers that zombies = A-rabs and school = judge's children this poor kid who was prolly gonna turn out to become a millionaire an dbring in sheeploads of revenue for kentucky is now getting bashed or atleast scared whitless in some correctional center, that is utterly disgraceful, and heck if i lived anywhere in that country i'd be startin portests.

That page dosent actually tell you what the kid wrote. It is like saying someone shouldnt be arrested because they deny they committed a crime. when the kid is 60 and releases a book with the acutual script of what he wrote then pass judgement but it is not smart beliving the words of a criminal over the police. an example could be (it is a jornal) ive been feeling really depressed today thinking of joining a terrorist movement. mabey i could get some terrorist codenamed "zombies" and hide them in the principals office. mabey kill the students, but what about the police? there stupid ill put a zombie in there office too that way they will be to busy to find me. then i can make a break for it mabey goto some terrorist nation i think i would of proven myself

It could be a publicity stunt as well.

Zombies are pretty big business recently, perhaps it's this guy trying to pimp his script, like get some coverage and hope that someone picks up on the idea. It also leaves a massive gap for him, if anyone set's a zombie movie in a school, he should have a case. It seems very similar to that case of the stickmen drawings a few weeks back.

http://www.rense.com/general58/george.htm

Just as mad as this - a kld get questions by the FBI because he has a poster saying "King George off with his head".

So in an effort to trip the FBI's security scanners, here's a random paragraph with contains a few key phrases.

Quote: "US PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH today gave his backing to a parental ACTION GROUP to want to ban VIOLENT games from shop shelves.

The game HITMAN which leaves you as an AL QUAEDA ASSASSIN charged with killing various key TARGETS has drawn WIDESPREAD criticism and ACCLAIM alike."

You are clearly trying to sound reasonable for your point of view and exaggerating for what opposes yours. And really most liberals think Bush is a doofus, not a psycho. It IS reasonable, it is why laws are put in place. Something bad happens, we correct ourselves, we prevent it from happening again. That's reasonable. Now if we wanted to be intelligent, the laws would be in place before the disaster.

Quote: "Exactly, I'm showing you how ridiculous statements like CR's sound to me when there is a perfectly good and justified reason for the law to be in place that has NOTHING to do with Bush."

Then who said that? It's surrounded by quotes. And for the record, who is "CR"?

And something I missed:
Quote: "This law sounds to me like something a liberal would write, actually. Reminds me of the politicians who like to blame video games for the teen problems in the U.S."

A liberal is for change and is open minded. You're saying liberals aren't. Get the terms liberal and conservative straight before trying to argue a point.

Conservative: adj.:
Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.

Liberal: adj.:
Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.

As you can see by the definitions, and the hundreds of angry uber-Christian mothers with nothing more to do with their time, it's the conservatists, not the liberals, who are blaming video games.

Need I say more?
This was an actual letter sent out by the St. Mary's Church.

If Your Child is a Gothic, Reform Through the Lord!

Listed below are some warning signs to indicate if your child may have gone astray from the Lord.

Gothic (or goth) is a very obscure and often dangerous culture that young teenagers are prone to participating in. The gothic culture leads young, susceptible minds into an imagined world of evil, darkness, and violence. Please seek immediate attention through counselling, prayer, and parental guidance to rid your child of Satan's temptations if five or more of the following are applicable to your child:

-Frequently wears black clothing.

-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts.

-Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nailpolish.

-Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include:
reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols.

-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.

(READ THIS ONE)
-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)

-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.

-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.

-Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan.

-Takes drugs.

-Drinks alcohol.

-Is suicidal and/or depressed.

-Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation. (This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God and His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.)

-Complains of boredom.

-Sleeps too excessively or too little.

-Is excessively awake during the night.

-Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.)

-Demands an unusual amount of privacy.

-Spends large amounts of time alone.

-Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your chid may speak to evil sprits through meditation.)

-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult.

-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this.

-Misbehaves at school.

-Misbehaves at home.

-Eats excessively or too little.

-Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this.

-Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.)

(AND THIS ONE)
-Watches cable television or any other corrupted media sources. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.)

[BIG RED FLAG!!!!!! ]
-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature.

-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer.
[/BIG RED FLAG!!!!! ]

-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.

-Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner.

-Expresses an interest in sex.

-Masturbates

-Is homosexual and/or bisexual.

Aaromier: -Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism.

-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth".

-Claims to be a goth.

If five or more of these apply to your child, please intervene immediately. The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center.

~St. Mary's Catholic Church

Hell, just read them all. See how stupid it sounds? This was written by conservatists. I'm sure that everyone agrees with me on that one.

To those in need of a clue, here's one: Debate does not involve making a string of extreme, unconnected generalizations and pretending they form a logical argument.

And keep the personal attacks out or all debate threads will end like this.

Yes haxorphreak, that means you.
