How detailed do you want to have the hand?
Modeling them is quite a simple task, provided you know what the goal is.

I did try to make one in Milkshape3D, but the Trial ran out. So I can't save until I find my Registration Key.

Here is a basic tutorial, believe me it isn't amazing. Should get you started though.

Step 1 • Outline the hand with cubes. Use your own hand as an example, you are just going for Shape right now. Try not to shape it until you have completed all the blocks, once you have them all down then use Select - Vertex to select and Move the vertices like in my attached image.
In order to create the Wrist, what I did was indivially moved all the vertex around in to the Diamond shape. It would probably be simpler just to rotate 90 degrees, then scale.

Step 2 • This is the tricky step, delete all of the faces connecting each of your blocks together. The easiest way is with Selection Editor on each individual object. Unfortunately with my copy being expired, I can't show you. It is pretty simple to figure out though.

Step 3 • The clean-Up phase. Use Ctrl-P on the Knuckles Edges, to create the extra Vertices on the Top / Bottom required for the gap between the Finger and Fingers Sections. The carefully go through the model using Ctrl-N and Selected Vertices to Combine together the Sections. Finish by selecting all the groups, regrouping and Ctrl-W to Weld all the Vertices together.
You can then Assign a Smooth Group to make it look nice and smooth.

You may find some faces are at odd orientations, this is easily fixed by using Ctrl-E to Flip Face Edges. Just remember to select only two face at a time, play with it to get a feel for using it.

As you can see from the image, I also divided the Fingers edge. Then pulled back the bottom edges of all the fingers. This gives it a slghtly more realistic look.

By using this technique you can create far more complex objects, particularly those you will wish to animate later.

I hope this all helps.

There is only one way to join this forum I thought?
As for seeing me somewhere before. It is not very likely.

That is a little off-subject.

As for the rest of the comments, they are all quite off-subject.
I am getting a little confused to why people are making odd comments towards me.

I was told I was someone in IRC the other day, simply because my WHOIS has WTFD in it. I hope people stop acting strange soon, it is getting creepy.

Oh I almost forgot, was my help of any use? I would quite like to see the results if it was.

Dude you might wanna change your profile and web link button if you're going undercover.

Anyway, I dunno what the other guys are bitching at - you posted something useful. Thanks. I'm gonna try that modelling technique with wings when I get home. Make stuff out of boxes and then bridge it all together.

I am not trying to hide anything. It is just a website, does it have to be mine?

@steve c, the problem sounds much like you are selecting both top and bottom vertices prior to welding.

Always check the 3D viewport to make sure you have only selected the vertices at a single point. It can get annoying to accomplish, as Milkshape3D does not have native 3D selection.

A tip my brother gave me a while back was to first hide (Ctrl-H) the vertices you are not working on. After you finish with them, just un-hide (Shift-Ctrl-H).

mustrix: i fought he was referring to the model looking flat, not really "flat", if it is really flat the problem is certenly what required sayd, if it looks "rough or to squarish" you myght want to smooth its normals with mesh smooth.
