Does any body know of a tool that can make a DBC game start up in a window instead of fullscreen? Or how to do that with a Hex Editor?

There's a command for that. I think it's 'set window on' or something.

Exactly, spazuh. It executes set window on at the start, and immediately switches to windowed mode.

I Just tried that and it didn't work. It doesn't recognise the command it might be DBP command instead of DBC

Window commands are Enhanced only, I'm afraid.

I don't know of any other way that you can change it, so you're stuck with it, or get the Enhancement ( the extra command sets are well worth it! ).

I think this is what I had in my programms before I got the enhancement :

Quote: " SET WINDOW ON
SET WINDOW SIZE 640,480
SET WINDOW LAYOUT 0,1,1
SET WINDOW TITLE "Damokles' Software""

But still, it's the SET WINDOW ON command that makes the difference

You need DLL calls, which use the enhancement pack

Unless you know something I don't...very possible

Besides, get pro!

I'd assume he's referring to this sarcastic comment:

Well, I think you can only do that in DBP.

It's alrighty, just be more carefull when you type next time.

Black Shadow,
In the same folder as where the exe is made, make a file called setup.ini Then, in that file, put this;

When you run the exe, it will open straight away into windowed mode, rather than going into full-screen

Enjoy.

Jess.

The trick I posted does exactly that.

As long as you compile it to an exe, then run the exe, that works, every time for me, without fail.

If you just RUN the code, then I'm not sure it will work

Jess.

Hmm, ok, I get what you mean now...

I don't think it's possible to change that at all.

Sorry mate.
