I really enjoyed the convention last year and it would be great if another were to happen this year. Im not sure if TGC have any plans or whether Squidgy would do another one of his great conventions this year(mostly because its too expensive I believe), but if you would attend one then write your name on here and see if we can get enough interest for at least somebody to do one. (Only post if you are prepared to visit a UK convention).

Wouldn't it be good to have a "Home of The Game Creators" convention in Lancashire!?! I'm prepared to cross the Pennines for such an event, the last ones weren't very central (but appreciated by those who attended I'm sure, and thanks goes out to Squidgy)

Or in other words the Garden of England

Ok I propose we sum up the advantages and disadvantages of other locations...London:
Advantages:
o Close to me (ok that doesn't matter)
o People from the surrounding counties (about 4 of em), and North European countries such as France, Germany, Belgium etc. Also, there are lots of airports near, allowing international travel (yeah I know other cities have this)
Disadvantages:
o Expensive? Any better than that of Manchester?
o London...a quite disgusting place although it's better than Manchester

Well that needs adding to

I will go to it regardless of the location, as long as its in UK.

If TGC organise it then there is a good chance of Manchester, unless Rich organises it(He doesnt live in Manchester to my knowledge), as for London, I would do that, I have only been to the edge of London once.

I'll be a few pennies richer this year, i'd like one in the midlands somewhere though, and i might just be able to sleep at home instead of some hotel... like on a hotel floor or sometimes getting locked out of a hotel at 2am, or something freeky like that happening, but what are the chances? whats worse is i might have to to share a room with some manchunian who likes sleeping with the window wide open.

Hey!!! I'm all for it to be held in the UK, maybe Manchester or Birmingham!!!! Only an hour and a half either direction from where I am! Besides, I've not actually been to one yet, and I hear that Mnem's looks are laughable, so I want to see what all the fuss is about ( j/k bud ). Anyway, definately got my vote for this year.

Paul.

Pfft, stick it in Liverpool.. that'd do me just fine
I might be able to attend, if it's pretty much close by.. provided it doesn't clash with anything

I say as far away from Mnem as physically possible, just to spite him

Seriously though, anywhere thats nice and easy to reach, preferably with and airport close by (ports wont help, I refuse to travel by boat)

As I've mentioned to ol' Memmy before, I've no plans for a convention this year - I feel £60 per person + accommodation costs + travel expenses is a bit too much for most people. In addition, most people dont seem to want to visit this fine city, for some strange reason...

Plus, I'm thinking of going to Portmerion this year (see if I can get lost in the pet cemetery again...), so its possibly I may not be able to attend anyway.

Finally, my parents have borrowed a large sum of my money, plus my laptop has been nicked, which means it would take a lot longer than usual to save up for all required parts to make a convention the success that the previous two were.

For a convention to be feasible, a lot more people would have to come, and would need to be cheaper (everyone could bring their own computers for example) and we could do away with networking (unless everyone has a ad-hoc wireless system).

Thats too bad.

It is expensive for people to get to Chichester, because of entry fee, travel costs etc.

Hmm, would TGC be willing to help out with the financial side perhaps, if they were to make it official, but just not them organise it. Most of them attended last year anyway.

I would probably come to a 2005 convention, although if it was in Manchester it would be cost-dependant.

I'd love to go to a TGC convention... but I live in Binghamton New York, way over on the other side of the puddle I *could* just have my own convention though! I have some new t-shirts I bought from Old Navy that I could show off, and my collection of Coca Cola cans that date back a week, and the little plastic army men all around my Vaio's lcd display... um... you know what? Perhaps that was a bad idea. But if TGC will buy me swimming trunks, I'll try to swim the Atlantic to get there! Hey, it's cheaper than airfare, lol.

Inverted puburtation of the 13th demsion (often confusingly represented as two LPs strung on a string. Confusing yes but the only way to represent it using a mere three demsions )

A little off topic here
