i have made a model in 3ds max 7 and when i texture you chose shaders like
phong
blinn
metal
orthographic
and loads more
i picked the metal shader as i was do plastic and it looked really good put the glossines up alot. any way i exported this 3ds and into darkbasic all the shaders were gone it was just my coulr plastic which was balck is there any way HOW CAN I GET THAT PLASTIC SHINE INTO DARKBASIC

you can create a fx file, modify it then use it to display the materail

how do you create a FX file will it work with darkbasic classic

Search for the metal.fx file included in the 3dsmax folder. Then load it in DBPro. ANyway, there are some .fx editors like FXComposer on the nvidia developer page ([href]developer.nvidia.com[/href]) or the EffectEdit included in DirectX SDK.
