I am using 3ds max and it sucks at creating 3d animations for my character!!! does anyone know any easier alternatives that are free for the beginning animator? One that requires little skill to use? If you do plz post it and i will be very grateful!!

I think anim8or might work but im not sure how to use it for animating...

does anim8or use bones and is it compatible with darkbasic?

Someone must know so plz post.

well i think it is more you that doesn't get on with max, as max's animation tools are great

a word about anim8tor is that it doesn't animate (ironic what) it will create a file for every frame of your animation, which is pointless

would you like to see a file i have been trying to animate for a day now with biped?
It is fine in max but when i export it to darkbasic is when everything becomes hell...

im not sure if biped is compatible with darkbasic. and i use the .x exporter plugin for 3ds max. im not sure what is wrong.

Anim8or does support boned animations and morph targets, but unfortunately does not export them out of its own indigenous file format (.AN8).
