I made a scope image in Adobe Photoshop and then put it in to my game for a gun. The image Displayed but it was to the Bottem right of the crosshairs all scrunched down. Does anybody know how to fix this and make the image work like the default scope image? I'v attached a picture for your convenience.

Thanks

No, but please post your image you are using for your sight (not a screen shot).

Oh my....

Where do I start? Well, it's a tad bit big. It's not to the power of 2 (not square), your post is a 1.2 meg bmp (needs to be TGA), don't think you have an alpha channel, etc

I can go on and on.

BUT that's not answering your question. Checking my "\gamecore\Guns\scifi\tavor\" directory, I found the 2 DDS files that are used for the scope. The sizes are (to my amazement) 1024 X 1024 and 32bit. Your image needs to be square AND the power of 2 (64 x 64, 128 x 128, 256 x 256, 512 x 512, 1024 x 1024, etc) and a DDS file saved as 32bit.

Try that first.

With our media, we attempted to look ahead in terms of graphical quality through resolution. Even though all our textures are 512x512, most users just see 128x128 after texture reduction. Similar with other graphics. Some media we kept high resolution such as graphical text as the quality was visibly bad when reduced. I dare say in twelve months, 512x512 will be relatively tiny
