dark basic pro would be a good idea yeh, blitz 3d is good too, uhh jahmagic is ok, i use dark basic pro, i find it is the most powerful out of the lot

DBP all the way. If you know how complicated making a rpg or combat game, DBP makes it a lot easier. You can spend more time on the actual system and not have to worry about looks and graphics.
