when i start the fpsc it makes the screen ALL a graph when i click to add anything. and also when i can get it to work when i press in my directery named trees it closes. whats up????

Do you mean your gui is screwed up?

If that is the case just go to view in the toolbar, and to toolbars and check all the listed tools again.
