Hi all,
I tried to make a shotgun with Wings3d, but when i try to put in DBC, it seems transparent, i mean the item is colored, but i can see the solids that cross over each other.

I attach 2 screens to understand it better.

But the question is, maybe i forget something begore saving the 3d project (like combining the solids) or maybe there are some instruction s in DBC to avoid this (in this case the thread should be moved in the specific section i think .

Any help is much appreciated
Thanx

It kind of looks like your normals are backwards. Wings3D is probably treating the geometry as double sided so it will show the "back" of the faces but DBC will not render polygons facing away from the camera unless you tell it to.

If this is the problem then the best thing to do would be to use Wings3D to reverse the normal directions. You could also tell DBC to render the back of polygons but this is less efficient.

i didn't really understand what you meant. Forgive my ignorance, but what should be the problem? what are those "normals"? and at last, what i should do in Wings3d ? (i'm totally a beginner in 3d modelling )

A "normal" is the direction a polygon face is facing. The side of the face that has the normal pointing up from it is the front side, the other side it the back. To improve render times the back sides of polygons are not usually rendered.

As for how to reverse the normal direction on your faces, you'll have to look into that or have somebody else help as I'm not a Wings3D user. If you go to their site they have a link to their forum hosted by cgtalk and I'm sure you can find some good tutorials/tips on that.
