Does it depend on time or posts.
If it depends on number of posts then it'S stupid because I don'T feel like posting much when my posts appear hours after I posted.
If I want to answer a question the question probably is already answered before my post appears.

It depends on time.

Sorry, but it has to be this way - we've had far too much trouble with spammers in the past and this gives us plenty of time to stop them before they can have a big impact on the forums.

Actually IanM it depends on the amount of times you post on that particular board (Team Request board in this case) rather than when you joined the forum.

At least I think it's this way because it told me the same message when I posted there for the first time ever a couple of days ago.

Sorry if I might be wrong.

No, it's not. Team Requests has a special always-on moderation feature; for the rest of the forum, it's a time limit, but not even the mods know what it is since Rich tweaked it last, so don't bother asking .

It is a perilous occupation for TGC to post anything by way of a promise, as the words get etched in indestructable marble for all time.

I'd bet its more on a basis of how many approved posts there are. A spammer need only register accounts then leave them for a while before spamming if it was just time based.

As of today it is based on both dates and post counts.

This page will explain more:

lol, but now I'm no longer a newbie.
If it stops spammers than it's a good idea and if not, well, it does not hurt anybody.

I'm the same but I don't like the "you are from the GM Forum".
I program with almost every existing "procedural" programming language, I always choose the one that fits the current task best.
I don't like functional programming languages however.
I bought DBPro a long time ago but did not use it much and never registered at the forum.
Nice to meet you here, IceRocketGaming.

Jerico, about a year ago we did get a Russian student come over from the nation. Even now, no one can understand half of what he says. No one can spell his last name either...It's Tka...something.
