3 Dimensional Chat / Friendly advice about Character Shop needed

Ok..here's my problem: I have Character shop program and sketches scanned from paper onto my comp...i need to make em into working characters!

I read ALOT of fourom posts and everyone talks bout Milkshape, Gamespace and other programs..im confused...how do i go from what i have to developing working characters <like all you pro peps that post in fourom =)>

i jus need a lil boost...cuz im really stuck and have no idea wat to do...i read all the tutorials and alot of the fourom posts..ANY advice will be heartily appreciated!

to make those cahracters u must learn how to model, just get gmax and make the tuts that come with it. im on my way off but ill post a better advice latter.

Modellers like Milkshape and DeleD allow you to load your sketches as background pictures. Then you can model your 3D stuff using your 2D sketches.

or just insert a couple of planes with a texture of each view

when u say i can model my 3d images using my 2d sketckes...do u mean i can model then into working (walking, dying...) basically doing action characters? or is there more to it?

And i get the idea of inserting images of diff view textures...but is there a easier way...i mean like can i develop a wrap of the charcter, make a wire frame and kinda wrap it aoround the frame?
