the functions dbATANFULL and dbSQRT generate errors for me unless I use them as dbAtanFull and dbSqrt. Is this just an error in the documentation about how to use the functions, or is it something to do with my particular compiling/linking setup?

ooo isn't that precious

Must be an error in the documentation. Remember in C/C++ everything is case sensitive.

Use the standard math libraries, as in the functions in math.h.
