do a google search for API Viewer or API Guide. They are great programs that I use on a regular basis. They give you all constants, functions, types, and subs available through API.

So you want to disable the program that is in the system panel at the bottom of the screen? I have this one book, "HACKISH C++ Pranks & Tricks". The book has quite a few ways to mess around with the start button, process manager, and many other programs. That may be of use to you.

Not sure if you have .NET language, but you can specify a program not to show in the taskbar. Open a window, select a window, get to its property page, set its ShowInTaskbar to false.

i guess i just hate runtimes and try to avoid them unless necessary
that is why i dont use dbp to make practical apps anymore(practical=things besides games such as word processors, paint programs ect)

hmm does anyone know where i can get a 16 bit compiler for windows 3.1/3.11/3.11 for workgroups

Do a search for Borland Turbo C++ 3.x, but you'll have to learn a whole new style of programming.

Div is capable of it, but limited.
qBasic is capable but a pain to use use imo.

Oh and the WS_ values can be found in VC/[platformsdk]/include/winuser.h

platformsdk versions were added for 2002 and above.
