Hello all,

My first post on the DB forums is going to be to announce that I have completed my first 3D game, written in DarkBasic Pro.

It is called Mox Blox 2005 and is in Beta version. MOX BLOX is a 3D puzzle-type game which consists of fitting 3D shapes together by rotation and movement in order to form as many planes as possible whilst taking advantage of "special" cubes that may help or hinder your architectural planning. (If you liked Tetris, you'll love this).

I am looking for people to test it and send some feedback!

The game is available at http://MoxBlox.free.fr/ and is about 49MB big. Below is a screenshot showing only a portion of the screen...

Comments and feedback are appreciated either at MoxBlox@free.fr or at the feedback page located at http://www.ac.aup.fr/~a40839/feedback.htm

Have fun!

Yours truly,

MortusMox

Looks good but 49Mb is too much at the moment! I might try tomorrow.

I like what I see so far, but do you have some more screenshots, and maybe a bit more info about the game before I have to download 49MB?

Thanks, mate

Oh, and welcome to the forums, hope you enjoy your stay, and get good feedback all round

Jess.

The game is available at http://MoxBlox.free.fr/ and is about 49MB big for the full version and 11MB for the small one; the only difference being that the smaller one has no music. Below is a screenshot showing only a portion of the screen...

UPDATE:
1) There was a big bug in release 0.1. Those of you who downloaded that version can download the update (only 3.4MB) on http://MoxBlox.free.fr.

2) By popular demand, I have compiled a smaller file, only 11MB, which contains the entire game WITH NO MUSIC. Do not try and enable music in the menu or it will crash.

3) Please note that the executable you should run is \"Mox Blox 2005.exe\"... not bloxengine.exe.

4) Here are a few more screenshots to give you an idea of how the game \"looks\"... It\'s quite difficult to show gameplay though...
