Give me some screenshots, and some info on hot it works.

I want to see some bullet points with information, and general instructions.

Sell me the product ( even though it's free ) through what you say about it.
You'll get next to no downloads unless you put some effort into presenting it to the public.

WOW! this editor rocks! Very nice man! I like the way of selecting markers The undo function is very handy too! The only thing I don't like is the camera.

Good editor!

@JessTicular - Thanks for the feedback, good points, we sure did forget to put up a screenshot. Did you like the matrix editor though?

@Joep - Thanks for the screenshot man!
Did you get a chance to try the Ramp function yet?
Copy & Paste is pretty cool too.

Going to test it now

[edit] Yeah that's pretty cool. Could you make it so you can type in values in place of using the up/down arrows for manual height adjustments and such? Would be nice to have both. Overall I like it.

@Lost in Thought - Thanks for your feedback!

I agree, numeric input would help speed things up, and give exact precision when it's needed.

Two of us are working on this. When he gets back in town, I will talk to him about this, but I think we should add numeric input too.

Did you get a chance to try Ramping, under the smoothing menu?

Hey guys,

Glad to hear the positive input and that people are enjoying the editor. Our number one goal was simplicity, which some other feedback has indicated we have done just that. What frustrated me most with other editors, was it took a degree in CAD designing or something of the like to learn the software, and nobody incudes help files to learn how to use it. Everything should be self explanatory and easy to understand. I understand the camera feels awkward, but after using it for a while you will get used to it. I have found after some practice that it is actually quite a good means of navigating while leaving keyboard input for other purposes.

As far as manual input of height, adding keyboard input in conjunction with up and down arrows would be more coding than I care to mess with. I did however already changed the speed and functionality of the manual height set. It isn't so slow now and will be in the next upgrade. For now, just deal with it. Also, if you need a fraction between the .25 increment, then just set the height close, then selet that point or set of points and smooth selected points. This will automatically give you the exact fraction you need.

Also, I added a screenshot to my ftp site. Just download scrnshot.jpeg.

OK Guys...Here is the new version, just the .exe file - overwrite the old .exe file with this. The original - 1st post above has also been updated.

Hey Neil19533,

I tried like heck to add a screen shot, but can't figure it out. So to see it you have to go and download it. I posted instructions in an earlier post. Where is the screen shot would have been fine.

I like it. It's like a new MatEdit. Found it really slowed down when doing z5,000 x5,000 and seems can only do 500 by 500 segments max.

It has become my new matrix editor though. Love that you included the code to use in projects.

Also for those that had issues with connecting to the FTP or web link. Try pasting this in your browser ftp://67.149.134.236 login: ftpuser password: ftp

@mogcon3 - No, this is just an matrix editor.

We show you the programming code to integrate the matrix you design into your DBPro program, as well as how to map an image onto the matrix.

You will have to add the 3D models on your own in your own program.

@x1b - We will look into some speed improvements for the next version.

Hey guys,

Wanted to point out, that when the program slows down as a result of size and number of segments you should keep in mind that this same slowing will probably occur when you use the matrix in you application. I have found the matrix parameters can be tinkered with until you get a decent look and the editor functions quicky as well.
Just a suggestion, and I'm not really sure I'm right.

Thanks

Rich
