Hey, we're working on tools to make developing both our game and others games easier. This Model Viewer is well, a model viewer -but- with animation organization. So we do, is design and build a model export it to .x, load it with the model viewer and assign the our animation frames to categories. It then save out .mv file which will be loaded by our games and the animations will be loaded and played by the engine. It's a good way to do it. The MV files are just flat files for now, but we plan to append the header of .x files with the animation info, so in essence it'd be some kind of hybrid .x format for our games and whoever else wants to use the software.

Anyways, screeny:

And the download in two flavors:

http://www.harborcityschool.net/~fvodden/modelviewer.zip

Anyways, give it a shot, it only load .x files. Please report bugs etc. if any are encountered, this is a fully operational program though.

Thanks for the kind words, I haven't made a loading script for the animations yet, as that would kind of be per situation, every game or whatnot would be different in the way that the animations would need to be accessed. But we'll see. When all is said and done, I'll release the source, but as I forgot earlier I can't include the Blue GUI code, so you'll have to have your own code. More people should try it out with their models, it's nice to have a program that saves your animations in categories, so you can assign them with ease.

All comments welcome, I will be adding more categories to try and cover all the possiblities. Report any and all bugs if found (I'm sure they're there)

Thanks
