Looks of what? Your post? ....

Critique:
Well the post was not very informative which is a great downfall to any post. Secondly, it was in all capital letters which makes one think very low of the poster. Finally, the smilies just didn't help.

Matty, you are making great progress in terms of getting everything up and running in DB, and you should be commended for it as not everybody gets to this stage even.

However, you'll find that unless you post on the WIP board with an intriguing new idea, solid remake of an old classic, or something with utterly beautiful graphics, then you're going to get a bit of a slap in the face. People will come on here lookin for quality games they may wish to download in the future, so they get upset when they see many many similar looking games with either not enough work done on them yet or not enough thought put into the concept of the game.
People also like to see screenshots and a description right up front, when we hear you say, "I'm making a game" we have no idea what you could be making, or if you're even working on it and just wanted to play a trick on us to make us think you were making a game but were actually about to take a nap and then eat some Lucky Charms(I had some this morning ).

I've no doubt that you will keep adding to your project and soon impress us with your great ideas and coding skill, but basically timing and presentation is everything in here. Sorry if you are feeling rejected or anything, good luck with your game, release a demo or something and I'll have a whack at it.

It looks like you have a promising start. Since this is your first game, I say simple is good. Perhaps keep it to one stage, and just concentrate on getting a fun mini-game like game going.

Keep up the good work.
