OK, i've got 3ds max 5 and i've got the .x export plugin from microsoft. The only trouble is the b******s didn't compile it so it's useless!!! So does anyone know how to compile plugins?

... the SDK of the DLLs are there so you compile if you need to change something and learn from - they don't work initially because you actually need to learn what is missing before you can compile them (which is simple once you know basic Dx8.1/9)

but that aside there is a directory where they've all been precompiled
kinda makes me wonder how stupid people have to be before they actually open thier eyes to find things
