Hi guys and gals,
Please could you knowledgable lot tell me how hard would it be for someone to find the encryption key in the main EXE? I'm talking about the key you use to encrypt file blocks with the Enhancement Pack.
Thanks

I just had a look at one of my compiled programs in a text editor, and couldn't find a reference to the file name or the password. That doesn't mean to say that somebody who knows what they are doing couldn't find it.

There are some simple things you can do.
Store the password in more than one variable, and concatenate them when you need it.
Make the variable names meaningless
Make the password meaningless
Make the password long enough to make the use of a decrypter unfeasible

Thanks, also can you extract files such as music without saving the said file to the hard drive (I know that you can load objects and images directly).
Thank you in advance

No, only images and objects.

It's a long way from being foolproof, but I extract files, do whatever I need to with them, and then delete them as soon as possible.
