In a previous thread someone mentioned that they took a look at the beta for some feature/functionality. Where is that information? Can any registered user look at that or is it specific for beta testers?

thanx

Only a select people have the beta - dont know what will finally be fixed. However, at the moment (its early yet), some commands have been removed, which has caused me problems, and one has been renamed.

There are several commands that have been renamed - dbRGB to dbRgb, and all of the ReadMemblockXxxxx have had the 'Read' removed. I've not spotted any missing commands though.

Yes, it does appear that they are there, but renamed :

dbSetParticleEmissions -> dbSetParticleEmmissions (noticed the added spelling mistake)
dbGetXVector -> dbXVector

Over the weekend, I hope to start looking at some of bugs that have been listed in these very forums.

I just went through all of my samples for EZrotate to confirm that they work AND change certain commands that have been renamed. I guess the good news is that EZrotate still works with 5.8. I just have to send new example files to Mike.
