when 3DS Max 5 Exports a file does it keep its special properties like cloth and that stuff if exported in the .3DS file format

it may save the mesh of the cloth but not its animation and i dont think it exports particles or lights(i think).

dont export to 3ds because its crap and doesn't support bone-based anim. goto [href]http.www.maxplugins.de[/href] and get the latest panda directx exporter (requires physique for bone-based anim)
