I just want to know how many people would be intrested, if enough people (like 5 or more) are intrested, then I will think everything out completly and make it as best a deal as i can without completly ripping myself off... I am thinking that the price will be around $4.95

Now, not everything for this is thought out yet. The price is also not thought out yet either but I can ensure you that it wont be exceeding over $7.95 (will more than likly be $4.95...)

[/b] This is what you will get...
Subdomains (not sure yet, maybe 1 or maybe 3 i dunno yet...)
webspace: 3gb (maybe more, negotiatable)
Bandwidth: 50gb/mo (maybe more, negotiatable)
ASP, PHP, CGI, PERL
Free Setup
2 POP3 Emails Per Domain
Webmail Access
FTP Account for each domain
Shell Access (maybe)
Professional Web Templates
Homesite Web Editor
99.7% uptime guarantee
30 day Money back Guarantee
Email Alias
Email Autoresponders
Custom Error Pages
[/b]

please leave your question/comments here.

Thanks a lot and if all goes well, I hope to be doing buissness with all of you very soon!

Price seems fair to me, but I'd rather have less for free (www.dbspot.com), + I'm pretty sure this counts as advertisement, as long as you're only asking about teh price you think you should have

Tainer your missing some points on how to sell it.

like for example, where is it hosted? any ip to do a traceroute? what backbones does it use? you may want to offer more subdomains for the money and maybe more email addresses.

looks a good deal imo, but i would like to know about it before saying any more

lagmaster - http://www.darkbasicnet.info <-- irc network for #darkbasic
- most of my websites down :/

Hosting in the US is a lot cheaper than it is over here, plus with the exchange rate $5 per month is quite good. The feature set sounds rich, but I agree with lagmaster in that people may not be willing to part with money unless they know it's a proper deal.

I may be misunderstanding here, but how can you have ASP (a Windows only technology) with Shell Access? Either windows server 2003 does something very cool with multiuser access, or there's a stable (not mono) ASP engine for *nix. I'm sure there are secure shell daemons for windows, but would it be geared up for multi user in the same way as a BSD/Unix box?

Like I said, I could be misunderstanding...

Me? With my reputation?

would be like hey come see my new site i built it has a fourms, downloads section, and is way better then this lame site!!!!! go to www.mykickasssite.com or something like that.

He made a post about webhosting not a website like there rule state's, either he didn't break any rule, or tgc should update there rule's page to inclued post's about offering hosting. imo

to:

He would still be not breaking the rules, he's asking us if the pricing is reasonable...if he adds the web address for a sign up page or something then it is wrong.

Then I would know you are lying. What if I wanted to use 99,000,000 Gigs of space? Would you allow that?

A better term is "unmetered"

one question: why would we want to pay $5 or whatever when we can get the same thing (and a good laugh) at jimmy's dbspot? If I were you I'd be watching out for trout headed your way

edit: and if I want to spend $5 on domain hosting I'd choose http://www.1and1.com

Last I heard dbspot doesn't offer ASP, but what do I know.

$5 sounds cheap, but I really don't see how the cheap and free webhosts can last. It costs real money for bandwidth!

Its actually quite possible with reselling. I have seen some hosts that sell reseller accounts for like $10-$15 /month. So It allows that reseller to sell each account for like $2/mo if they really wanted to. I have no idea how the server owner can afford it, but hey...who cares?
