Does anyone know where I can get a good 3D modeler (not a trial that limits your actions), but a full version for FREE!!
Thank you.

wings is a good program, but I'd say get truespace 3.2, look it up on google, it comes with some tutorials, its an older version of truespace but still its powerful (it has more tools than wings, ie. Metaballs, Plastiform, Physics etc) the rendering quality is ok but its the models you are after not the FMVs, it exports animations but doesn't support bones and skinning (that comes in version 4)

u really need physics for making a ingame model? i tried out truespace and found wings to be just as powerful and usually faster aswell but its all opinion anyways

They're about the same for TS3.2(although it has more tools) and wings, but TS3.2 gets you used to the truespace tools and when you can afford the newer truespaces which are much more powerful.
If you are really interested in 3D you can download a Cinema 4D demo or buy version 6 or earlier (i got version 6 off of a guy for £10!) then you can learn the cinema 4D tools which are very powerful then when you are richer you can get the newer package, but you can do what you like lol

It would be stupid not to use blender.
www.blender.org
www.blender3d.com
Blender is going through some serius dev. right now.
It is at version 2.35 but a 2.36 is soon availeble.

2.36 is almost as powerfull as XSI, Maya, 3ds max and all the other programs.
Blender can be hard to learn but it is so powerfull and free at the same time.

Really amazing work has been created with this program.
They used blender in the production of Spiderman II

Denmark Denmark Denmark.

While Blender3D is getting better all the time, some of us just hate the user interface too much to be productive with it. It would be stupid of me to switch to Blender as my productivity would drop to zero. Thank goodness there is a wide variety of tools available for everyone's individual preference.

lol zircher...just what i was about to say...(except about truespace AND blender)

Quote: "it has more tools than wings, ie. Metaballs, Plastiform, Physics etc"

None of those are very helpfull if you're modeling style completely contradicts the User Interface...(like mine...which unfortunately is more suited to 3DS Max ...which happens to cost much more...though milkshape is a good alternative for me)

3D Studio Max
Maya
Lightwave

Yeah baby!

Edit. I am a 3D modeller, but I don't work for free.
