Hex editing....Is htis out of place?

Is hex editing good or bad? what is it used for?

Could it be used to mod games? (not to cheat but to make like mods of games or osmething?)

I have been able to use Hex Editing to cheat on games by editing my players stats for an RPG.

Here's a link to the article I wrote about it a few years ago. I even explained how to painfully do it from DOS using the "debug" program.

LOL thats funny =P when i was like 15 i played a game called graal and to cheat you hex editied it i didnt know what i was doing so when i changed some values i just made weird stuff happen i think the worst i was able to do is make my character run in 4 diffrent directions at once hehe

To mod games? Probally not. Cheat? Yes. I have personal experience with that, having banned quite a few players from my Soldat server due to their cheating.
