Poor little bunny is going to be eaten June 30th if this guy doesn't get 50,000 dollars USD. Sad thing is, he already has 25,000 LOL!

If he'd done it right away, it'd be legal. It would now be considered domesticated, and illegal to kill it.

Funny Animal laws I guess, but if he tries taking that to the butchers they'll tell him to do it himself and get in trouble for it. It's likely he won't go through and is a scam just for cash, but being $25,000 up ... he's made more in the past few months than most ppl make in a year.

That's kinda depressing when you think about it.

For those that can't tell, it's clearly a joke.

How exactly is it 'clearly' a joke?
I've had Rabbit a number of times, it's a pretty common dish here... obviously you'd normally have it from the supermarket frozen, but I've also been hunting and had a few prize catches that we've enjoyed afterwards.

I mean it's not like he had a gun to a dolphin's head or something, an animal that people generally don't eat. It's a rabbit!

Secondly, there are alot of people who are willing to do just about anything (mostly in the states it seems) in order to make money from the internet.

Seems less like a joke and more like a Scam to me... unless there is some BLATENTLY OBVIOUS sign on the site that I've missed.

Have you never heard of satire?

It's not a scam, he sells shirts based on the premise that he has a bunny hostage.

It's a business. If there were a blatent sign it would be a very poor business decision...

And not to mention, because of this business he's given a bunny a great life living on it's own floor in a home.. I wish I were that bunny

Can someone say gullible? It's amazing how some people can't see humour if it hit them in the face, just look at the gallery, the store and even the intro on the front page! I'm sorry to say this, but if you can't tell it's a joke then you either have no sense of humour or you're the most gullible person in the world.

I laughed so hard when I saw this months ago. That guy is one smart
dude. I hate to offend vegetarians here but people eat meat. Get over
it. By the way my wife is a vegetarian and she laughed about it.
That is people sending money to save him.

He didn't really receive the money--- it's obviously fake. The PayPal link doesn't even work by the way.

Jeku, as far as I can tell he actually does.. He sells merchandise through the same paypal address at cafepress, the address that is down. Digging through the site I noticed an article posted not too long ago about paypal shutting down his account even though he violated nothing in paypal's tos, and thus he was going to research a new pay portal that would allow him to continue doing business as usual.

Domesticated? So if I found a chicken under my porch, raised it and took care of it, would I not be able to threaten it over the internet? Or maybe perhaps, (gasp!)eat it? Isn't that what animal farming is about anyway?
