First of all, thanks to all of the people who participated in the first alpha test of my new internet game the constructor. The game is still far from finished however, but I have decided to start afresh and see how my changes work from the start. If you played in the last test you are welcome to come and play in this test, otherwise come and play anyway

The link is http://controller.logicstudios.net

Thanks again peeps.

Is this Beta 3?
Think I skipped the Beta 2 test. Just wonder is the market still good for your Diamond Business?

lol, forgot the name of your own title, eh?

I'm signed up, for this one too

The last was pretty fun, although a little unbalanced. Let's see if this one tops it

Jess.

bah.. you go away for 12hrs and apex swoops in owning the market.
Can't believe I'm in 3rd place...

[edit]

Mne... you need to put a cap on the market prices, heh. They don't seem to loose interest. If you put it as they loose interest in a product after say 10 turns that should stop the prices from getting to the quite astronomical levels they're at.

The prices do lose interest, but not quite as fast as I had hoped. The idea was that if you sold to the market and allowed the market to consume, then eventually the price would go higher than normal, but the flaw however is that people are selling large quantities of stock and then going to bed or something, and nobody is clearing this stock up, so the market gets it all and this causes the top-out price to be astronomically high.

The new model is an improvement that needs improving.

Yeah, the model seems to be based on total supply at any given point. So if you sell alot then people will expect that as the standard.

It really should be based more on time, so after so many turns after a product not appearing people just loose interest and it levels out.

That way if you trickle in small amounts of the product you can fore the market price to grow as people want it but there isn't enough.
Definately look forward to the next Market Model.

Somehow the market model ties in with how the controller gets fired and a new one elected, because its his job to make sure the economy moves, im just searching for a way to link the two. Also transfers dont work
