My buddy and I are both doing the dark basic stuff.
My Dark Basic is yet to come in the mail. I have used the demo though.

My buddy has made a game and he wants me to see and play it. Being that his lives across the US from me the only way for me to play it is by downloading it.

Well I downloaded it and it wouldn't work. It says not a valid windows application. What is up with that. The item is a drifter file. It is there but it is nothing.

How do I go about in playing it. I thought that if you had the paid DB you can have anyone play the game. Well I am anyone so why cant I.

Someone please help me with my problem.

I am sorry for posting all over the place. What is the best place to post something like this?

Ok I almost had it working this time. When it loads up I get an error. I dont know what is all about but maybe you do.

Well in the title bar up at the top it says error in program.

In the box when it pops up it says. Runtime error: ERROR 31.

Is it a problem with me. Because on my buddies computer it works fine he says.

Maybe if you have some answers you can post to me.

Hmmm... I don't remember what ERROR 31 is. I think it is the media though. You know, all images, modelfiles, music and so on. You will need those too. Ask him to build a new executable, a FULL build. This will include all media files in the .EXE...

Error 31 = "Image does not exist"

Your friends program is trying to load an image that doesn't exist or use an image that hasn't been loaded. Eitherway there's nothing you can do about it, only he can fix it (perhaps by sending the image or perhaps by checking his code - we can't tell).
