Read the title, there are about 4 billion threads about 3D Modellers. The search option WORKS!! Its at the bottom of every page, use it to your advantage. Future threads like

Where can I find a Free 3D Modeller?
Whats the best n00b modeller?
Where can I download 3D Models?
I need the greatest 3d Modeller ever for fREE!!11

Will all be immediatly locked with a reply such as 'Use the search feature.' The post will also be newbie slapped for a couple hours (where your posts go on post approval)

Im getting tired of seeing the front page filled with the same post over and over again. There are sticky threads that have bunches of 3D Modellers in them!!!! Remember, Google can ALWAYS be used to find free modelling sites.

Can the posts that are asking this question just be deleted as with the team requests ?

Ill leave the current ones to filter themselves out, unless another mod steps in here. Future posts will be locked/deleted on sight.

Hi. This might be a 'crazy' idea, but have you ever thought about the fact that moderators can, I imagine, delete threads? So why not let people converse away on a thread, and when posts stop, delete the worst threads. In this case, just delete the worst 3D modellers threads. If done right, everyone is a winner.

... except for the mods who have to keep track of that crap.

No thanks - better for us to just lock/delete them immediately.

Anyone serious about needing modellers will already have a demo that can be posted - all according to the team requests guidelines

hmmm... well, i'm still not sure that having a go at people who ask a simple question should be criticised so badly for it. But then, hey, i'm new. Granted though, people should make more of an effort to search for what they want on this website first. I certainly will be.

The point is, these posts just clutter this section up, why ask a question that has been asked COUNTLESS times before, when theres even a sticky thread DEVOTED to the subject.

Even if you meet all of the criteria and obey all of the rules on this page we may still lock your team request in those two boards unless your project looks to be something really special. This is to keep the boards from not becoming diluted. If there are already a couple of team requests somewhere on the first page of the DBPro/DB boards then hold off posting for a few days, or post somewhere else"

Exactly how do you define 'really special'? What on earth does that mean?

It means if it looks like it has potencial to
a/ actually be finished
b/ would require the help of external people
c/ is actually finished and needs the media

well i'd guess that's what it means anyways.
honestly i don't care much.. i simply thought the best option was to have a team request forum where the threads were periodically culled.

so like if it's more than 7 days old.. blam! deleted.
you'd still get people going in there who just make fun, but on the whole did keep 90% of the trash away from the rest of the forum leaving it clean for trash of different subjects.

honestly the forum as a whole really is poorly run, and relies on the "sound" judgement of moderators who only have limited time (and some have grudges) for the forum.

it's like a military state run by postal workers.. lol

because there are tons of noobs here now. actually prolly not any more than there used to be. they just have grown stupider and more annoying. blocking all noob comments would require us to hack into and borrow nasa's mainframe lol

hello i think this is so unfare iv read all the posts in the "list of well known modelers" sticky and i still would like to ask a few questions but i am scared of getting a nooby slap what ever it is?

Right im felling a bit brave now so im going to ask a few questions and if you want to delete this post feel free to do so i will not be offended

1. what is an easy modeler to use

2. what program is a good animator for things like springs and hindges

3. will i need a coverter so i can run my animated models in DBPro

4. would it be posible for a description of how to work with these programs something like 1. draw model in what ever program save your model as .??? file type. 2. load .??? file type model into animation program once you have done your animation save as file type .??? blah blah blah i think you get the idea

im sure if these question are answered it would help a lot of us noobs out and stop us aking these same questions over and over again because all i seem to be doing is reading and then trying out loads of different programs only to find out i cant load or get it to animate in DBPro.it would be nice to have one program that will do it all without any compatibility problem but hey after all this is the way the real world works!

thanks

@RPGamer :
I have question for you.

If we are looking for a precise 3D Object,
If we are not looking for a team,
We can't put the post in the team request forum. (I think you agree ?)
If we use search function and didn't find any post talking about that kind of object ...
Where can we ask for that precise object ?

The problem is that when I create objects... I does not automatically share them with everyone but, if someone ask for an object I've build but not shared, I'll make it available for DL or send it per mail to the person.

If you make the principle to ask for precise 3D Medias forbidden in that forum, you make the think explained above unavailable and, I think it's a miss.

What do you think about this ?

You can ask for models to be made/found for you, not a problem. Just dont make it a team request

Because this forum needs them. Badly.

ed: crap, missed the entire second page..

Well, there are 6 billion idiots living on this planet ... do you think you can heal some of them or make them smarter with this action?
