I'm posting this here also and not only in RGT forums.
the real game will be coded in DBP as soon as I get it with this play modes:
-----------------
- Championship Racing (with powerups)
- Arcade Racing (with powerups)
- Battle Mode (with powerfull weapons)
- Duel Battle (with powerfull weapons)
- Duel Racing (with powerups)
- Distruction Derby (no weapons, only craches)
- Free Flight (No weapons. Only fly, fly where you like to fly in space )
- Capture the Flag ("Bling-bling checkpoint")
-----------------------

Pleace post coments

PS: As I sed, This is just a test project so far, and the real game will have real racing levels and battle levels. The Championship racing will have plenty or racing levels on each planet So that means that you will travel around the galaksy racing on other planets. I got the idea from WipeOut on playstation.

Looks like it could be really cool - let us know when you've got a download to test.

Cheers,

Looks great, love the reflection.

However, space ships and racing games just don't mix, in fact space ships only really work in deep space. This is not a critique of your work, just an idea you may want to think about.

About 8 years ago, there was this gamine in the arcades, CyberSled:

(Picture kept small so as not to intrude).

It was an amazing deathmatch style game with big sleds, you had really accurate control of theses, side stepping etc and blasting the enemy, collecting power ups - in a really straightforward level layout. Anyway, I reckon this style of game would suit the look much better, imagine a big chunky sled gliding on that loverly reflective floor .

Also, the sleds can be rediculously low poly, because it suits them really well - like simple neat designs are great.

Anyway, give it some thought, maybe even play the PS2 version if you can, I spent a whack of money on this arcade cabinet, I'd love to see an online multiplayer game like it.

The racing is with hover ships, and the free flight and other space modes is spaceships. Thanks for the coments
This is only a test so far

Ships can work fine in Racing games - especially if they hover, like the WipEout games The shot looks nice!

hey, how about F-ZERO, don't the ships hover?

your birth was a blessing, sent to live and die on earth as a lesson, we each have a star all you have to do is find it, once you do, everyone who sees it will be blinded - DMX
