Hi all,

Just starting using Cartography shop 2.08, but now my level is getting more complex it is really slow. But I've also noticed when it's opened and without any maps opened my cpu is still running at 99% usage. Is this right? any thoughts or help would be great.

Systems are P4's 2.66 & 3 ghz 1Gb ram. Should eat the program really!

I have the same problem! I had just registered the application and decided to play with it some more when BAM! My computer started laggin' like crazy. I havn't really messed with it anymore since then so I havn't come up with a solution. It's just good to know that it wasn't just happening to me...er, well not -good- but you know what I mean.

My Specs: p4 2.2gig, 786mb ddr ram, 120 gig hd, Geforce4 128mb ti4200, WindowsXP.

This behaviour is typical to applications/games that use a DirectX window. You can try the same with a DB or DBPro windowed prog. You'll see that this will also take your full CPU time.

AFAIK P4 always take up proc.power even when supposedly idle.

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
