Hey did anyone see that "Alien Planet" show on Discovery Channel? I saw it on last night, but i watched it like last saturday or something. It was pretty cool . I wonder if there really is life out there. I liked how they made it seem realistic. For those of you that didnt see it it was a animated (not cartoony , realistic), simulation of what could happen if we did discover another planet with life. So did anyone see it?

Well, I guess a bird with jet engines isn't too far out in the world of TGC.

I liked it, thoose mushrooms were cool, my favorite animal was the skewer. Any animal caught in its sight was screwed!

hehe, yeah, i like that they gave reasonable explanations for how things were like they were though. IE) The skewer, they said that it wouldnt be able to support the animal and sudden shift in wait, so it had to fly upwards, and how they produced and released some kind of gas to jet along. I liked the ones at the end that were the most intelligent, and also those mushroom shocker plants/animals though. I like how they just based it on how things couldve evolved and not just random creatures.

yeah, they really did their reashearch on thoose things, they didnt do anything like, this creature opens a portal to hell to kill and feed off of the other one, they acctually made it into an echo system by hooking different thing together, I also liked how the robot was constructed, I loved the part when he first landed and poked his head out it was cool, I liked thoos weather ballons too.

Well think about this they are testing with extremely powerfull magnets right now in the US and they will have a force 3000x more powerfull than the earths, they are the only force, right now that is, that can contain the fuel that they are experementing with right now, plasma, the same thats in the sun, that is so hot only a magnetic field can contain it, that will make travel so much faster it is unthinkable right now, not faster than light yet, yet.

Saw it on the history channel, modern marvels: magnets, they also took theese two extremely powerfull magnets put a little froogy in the middle and gravity was nonexistant in that little area because of how powerfull the magnets were so the little froggy just floated there, it was really neat.

Well I've checked Discovery UKs website...
There was no mention of it a few weeks ago, when it was being really built up on fileplanet.

I was just wondering if anyone knew when it was comming cause some people seem to know things that even the official websites don't.

Just get the typical retarded response though, why do I even bother asking.

Raven, have you tried contacting Discovery via email yet? Maybe you could get an answer from, but you should ask because maybe someone intellegent (or at least someone repescting) would reply seriously, it's unfortnuante I can't help since it's been 9 years since I lived in the UK... so of course I don't know when it will be on.

Anyways I don't get Discovery since I only have basic basic cable (channels 1 -22 for where I live) and advanced cable (channel 200 - 300 along with others...

Odd eh?

Anyways the show looks pretty interesting and if it's on demand some time I'll watch it.
