Hello,

I noticed that a lot of people on TGC also do some filmmaking and i'm kind of getting into filmmaking but i need some inspiration.. does anybody got any films you made or scripts you wrote??

I know this is The Game Creators not The Film Creators but it all ties in if you think about it...

Peace

I have super mega great ideas for some short films with short budgets, but alas, I have no time now that I'm working full time. It would also require filming in highly public places (sans licenses) which I'm not entirely comfortable with yet.

EDIT:

They're almost entirely based on dreams, and would fit into Tales from the Crypt. One of them involves a man on a public transportation vehical (bus or skytrain), carrying a suitcase containing his wife's remains.

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place

Wow, I mean really, damn, I've never seen a sig that large before. Unfortunately, I've just had to remove it. Sig limit is currently around 400 x 120, please make it smaller... a LOT smaller.

I really want to get into film making as well. I've started a few ideas, but haven't really done much with them recently.

http://www.curvedbasic.com/Art/art.htm

Need to purchase a few more tools, and free up some more time. I am planning to make a few short movies over the summer though.

I really need a webpage of my own so i can share some of my music, games and movies but i would like to have a copyright first cause i don't wanna get ripped off..

Can someone help me with getting a webpage?? I know HTML and i've made pages but i need to get them online i know about free webhosts but they're all just spam and i want a real webpage..

Or i was thinking about if someone don't mind maybe i could put my page on an individuals website or something..

Anybody willing to help?

Go to http://www.ourmeda.com or http://www.archive.org and from there you can setup a free account where they'll host an unlimited amount of your movies with unlimited space. They've been doing this for years and they're pretty fast.

I've made some films in my day, I want a decent camera though, I've only used my lego studios cam and my digital blue. Aluminum Pork (he doesn't visit here as much) has the best amtuar movies I have seen!

If i wasnt gonna make computer games for a living id produce movies. I just cant ever get enough actors (Usually only me and my bro) when we start to make anything, lol. I did make about a 15 minutes movie with my cousins and it was called "Good Luck". It was supposed to be scary, but turned out to be hilarious, hehe.

Video games…they take you places unreachable, unfeasible. Putting you in the book...putting you in the movie...putting you in a world, that before could only be imagined. expage.com/piratesmainpage.

My brother has made quite a few films, and he's studying film making at Biola currently...

i wish i could show you his latest film "A fool's gold" it's a 10 minute western ...got nominated for every award in the Biola film festival...but a documentary on little kids managed to get them all instead ..probably because of the cute kids...but william's was just as good

anyway here's the site his team (or whatever you want to call it) has put up. http://www.blacklist-entertainment.net/

(notice william in the "about us" section )

i'll see if he can e-mail it to me so i can upload it...it's pretty cool (you can tell when you watch it that he's been watching alot of clint eastwood )

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself

I'd say the easiest thing would be to start off with a stills movie. Basically, have a lot of still clips that are played in an order to tell a story. If you want you can throw in a quick moving clip or something if it fits. I have actually seen one by a kid in my school, it was about murder and revenge and such, it was actually really good.

Check out http://www.lionhead.com. Their upcoming game (the movies) allows you to create realtime 3d films (exportable to WMV files) about pratcially anything you like.

They're going to have a website where actual (real) movie-guys judge the best films. Looks good to me (and if you've got a kick-ass idea, you could get noticed pretty quick). I've already pre-ordered the game (comes out this october. £24.99 from amazon to pre-order)

EDIT: At the moment of writing, the lionhead site shows an irratating sign saying 'we're moving servers'. Damn them!
