It hums when its on, then it "vwing"s when you swing it (motion sensors) and "zap"s when it hits something.

Yeah, I saw these a while back. The same site had an exact replica of Vader's light saber too (just the main bit, not light bit), and cost a mint. Also had a statue of Vader for like £300. Erm...

You would have to have red though. And you would have to have two of them really for a fight with your mate. Or have two yourself plus some sticky tape for a Darth Maul effect Hmmm, and what about a Mace style purple one? That would be tops. If you like to bite pillows that is. Only he can get away with that one...

Cheers

looks awesome!

Video games…they take you places unreachable, unfeasible. Putting you in the book...putting you in the movie...putting you in a world, that before could only be imagined. expage.com/piratesmainpage.

Well, you see, there's this movie called 'Star Wars', it was sort of popular in the 70's so they made a bunch of sequels and prequels, the latest one having only just been released. And we all know a good movie series has to have merchandise, right?

If you REALLY want to be pretend to be a Jedi, the best you are going to get are Lucasarts continuing Jedi Knight series. They are/were brilliant fun. Especially multiplayer.

Oh...

I thought it was like a kid's toy. When I was 5-6 my friend's Mom bought him some glowing Power Ranger sword and we F***ing went nuts. Kinda odd to see grown users posting about it here now...

(I did hear of people getting Storm trooper armor though...and cos-playing. Which is uh..."sometimes" normal)

I bought one, here's a pic of me in all my SW gear:

Nah, sod paying £100 for that, I might stretch to paying that for a pair of them, but that's far too expensive. I can certainly see the appeal, seriously, does anyone remember the first generation sabres that came out? - with the little bulb in the handle and severe lack of anything remotely authentic. It was still great fun to battle with them, especially with all the lights out.

One of the fencers at my club last night brought one of those Very cool, you wave it around and it makes awesome swishy noises. IMHO they should make one like Mace Windu's lightsaber (purple), I'd get one of those in no time. Only drawback to Darth Vader's is that the handle is a little uncorformtable
