Well the topic heading is pretty explicit about what I'm asking, but just in-case you couldn't read it in FireFox or something.

Does anyone have a connection/computer capable of being a game server?

While I can host myself, there is a problem of the Ping Rate. It just isn't fast enough to cope, producing 100ms ping on most online games.

Most other people I know still use dial-up, so again not valid for server tests. For those who do have systems capable of hosting games, I'd like to ask one of you if you could possibly lend your services over the weekend (Sat, Sun (perhaps even later today)) in order to help do online tests of a DB/P Server-Client System.

It won't be needed after the Beta test, as I'll see about getting a perminant game server; but just for the beta testing it seems pointless to spend £10-20 just for 2-3days of use.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I can, but if my sister is using the wretched BitTorrent, then it will go rather slow...

I may be able to find out at around 6/7pm tonight... If BT can be stopped, I can help test then (with any luck).
May not be able to over the weekend though, unfortunately... (LAN game-playing days, Doctor Who, Star Trek and moving a washing machine)
