This:

http://www.jamster.co.uk/jiw/go?search=crazy%20frog&zanpid=1294268C581406535S185758#

Click on the little speaker sign next to 'Carzy frog' (about half-way down the page). Its a stupid ring tone that's supposed to be funny; it isnt't. They've even released a single of it for god sake!

EDIT: I did put a href tag on that, put the address was too long

The address had %20 in it.

Its some really annoying company that can only afford to advertise at non-peak times of the day on tv, with some godawful 'ringtone' they're promoting.

Because its crap!! Its not music! Why would you want that crap as a ringtone - why would you want to listen to a music CD of it?? Its poor manafactured rubbish, that was inspired by a broken moped (that really is true)

@David T: whats wrong with %20 in the address? It still works.

I didn't mind the original ring tone(which by the way, was not meant to be music in any way - a ring tone doesn't have to be music ), but all this other stuff is really pathetic.

Apparently was done by two kids from Sweden who were bored. It is Sweden after all....

It's interesting that people buy it to be original. It has 2 million downloads apparently. Very original

Notice that the frog is, ahem, "fully" functional? Erm? Sweden again I suppose. The hateful adverts normally blur or black it out. Arf..

Cheers

it was funny how it started off, as a recording of a sweedish teenager playing with his mates moped, and then it went onto that humour website seeing how long you could look at this picture of a driver in a F1 car with that souind in the background.

that was funny

now some major companies made it into a ringtone and is earning millions, dam if only i saw its potential first... or maybe if the teenager did and then he coulda deleted the file before all this happened >.<

The crazy frog is great! It's a perfect example of how there are a lot of very stupid people out there willing to waste their money on utter sh*t, and as a result, make a lot of clever businessmen very rich . I can safely say that anyone who has bought the crazy frog, or any other ringtone for that matter, has safely earned the title of "Supreme Dumbarse".

Yes, the advert ran here for a couple of weeks before it had to be censored. Seriously though who the hell draws genitalia on a 3D frog?!

Well, consider the kind of wierd stuff H.R.Giger puts on his creations, and some of the things that occur in the japanese animations that don't often get released everywhere else, you'd never ask that kind of question again.

I'm surprised they can sell a sound byte without actually purchasing the rights to it. Technically, wouldn't they only be allowed to use the 3D animation?

I just had my bathroom radio on, and basically Timmy Mallett (from Wide awake club and Wakaday if I remember rightly - which Mike Myers was in!!!) had a radio show. He then instantly played the new crazy frog song *in full*. He totally loves it unsurpisingly. F**kers of a feather flock together and all that... Unfortuantly I was indisposed at that point, so couldn't throw the radio out of the window. While I had a shower he played two beatle songs back to back (without annoying mallet sounds he makes.....) which made up for things a bit, but it was a cruel ploy to save the radio before assaulting me with some McFly (he loves them, probably because they sound like they come from the 50's and he's an old w**ker). A couple of weeks ago he played the same McFly song three times in a row. C**t...

So has anyone else had a more annoying combo experience than this? It's hard to beat.

Cheers

Anyone ever heard the song, 'Your mamma don't dance' - I think it's by Poison. Anyhoo, that is the most irritating song on the planet, and my boss plays it all the time, along with countless other mind-numbing tracks.

Personally, If I had to have a ringtone like that - I'd go for good old Magical Trevor, I hope Weebls tones take off big-style, so more people have some actual humour on their phones.

I'm pretty sure I heard the vocals long before the frog, like some joke picture thing - remember the pictures that pretend to be psychological tests, I think I heard it on one of those. I suppose that if it wasn't legally Jamsters then there would be a few people suing them. Personally though, I'd prefer to kill Sweety chick, that little shit annoys me far more than any frog ever could.

Hehe, it's cool, I affixed the 'Idiot' sticker to my forehead.

How come the guy who originally made that wave hasn't sued Jamster for a share of the £10 Million they've made? - or is everyone who has ever done anything to encourage the frog an idiot .

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo the reason im not signing is because, by hating the frog, you're just encouraging its growth!

the same happened with chavs. a few chavs here and there, and then everyone like "WE HATE CHAVS" and then there were those chavscum websites... and now chavs are really popular! if we just ignored them then the phase would have gone when they realised how much they were failing to get our attention, but instead we gave it, and now its too late. dont do the same with crazy frog! just ignore it, keep any rage you have for it inside you. its like darth vader. every blow makes him stronger >.<

I had the original beverly hills cop ringtone for ages, but now the crazy frog ringtone has nicked the theme tune and copied it, I'm going to change mine to something else . Otherwise when my phone rings people will think I have the crazy frog ring tone lol

I hate it when people copy other peoples songs...especially when they make it worse

Mine just goes into a fit saying "You have a phone call!". It's pretty annoying so I keep it on vibrate... Saying that, it pales into significance to that f**king frog!?!£$!$!£! Mellowing out now; just put on some Chicago on the MP3. Gotta love cheese. Oooooohhh, baby please don't go.... no, must resist adding frog lyrics... little blue b**tard...

Oh, and just be glad that your hard earned tax pounds (or dollars) is helping Chav t**sers buy the frog ring tone for the 11th time. They of course can have that extra time resting in their Kappa Slappa tracksuits watching Trisha and repeats of footballer's wives all day, to then re-energise to listen to frog (now known as FFF - F**king Frog F**ker...) before spending more of your well earned. Bloody FFF.... If you are too young to be directly effected by tax, then something to look forward to there Just glance at some of your neighbours on a day off. Still around in the middle of the day are they? Holding more than one ciggie butt in their hands at one time are they? Screaming kids around their legs (even though they are like 16 themselves)? Chavtastic mate, and their sizing you up on how much tax you can get them once you leave school God, that FFF gets you down....

And yes, by dissing frog he will become more powerful than you can ever imagine. You are weak old man. He is your froggy father.

Cheers

Ps. dadadatadatata, always on my mind, tumdetum, good olde Chicago for a stop to a bloody rampage. Ang on... next album clicked in... MegaDeth... Ooopppss...

Personally I find 'Men without Hats' classic tune 'Safety Dance' is a much better cure for frogdom, you have to chair dance to it and sing along too, I have included the lyrics for any other sufferers here. Trust me there's no place in your brain for the frog song when Safety Dance put's on it's shiny shoes.

No way man. The banana phone song is probably the most annoyingly good song I've heard recently. That and the Chicago song from the 3G advert (If you leave me now) which had most of our development department insisting on one of us ordering the greatest hits before we all imploded from singing the song. Is kind of weird seeing a load of programmers singing away on the same song. Unless it's ABBA obviously.

The most annoying song in the entirety of the human race (and all races before and after, mind you) is Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus.

*blech*

Weird Al's rendition pretty muched summed it up for me.

Here's the answer for those wanting to know what the creator of the sound is getting out of it. Sounds like he sold it to Jamster for not much as he wan't expecting it to make that much...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4210407.stm

Quote: "And then the final piece in the tale came late last year, when ringtone company Jamster contacted Erik and Daniel for permission to sell it as a download for phones.

The good news is that both men are making some money of their creation.

"Actually Jamster is making a hell of a lot of money," says Daniel. "It's one of the best-selling ringtones in the world. And yes, they give me a cut of it. But I don't think it's even a little percent of how much they are making from it."

"Will it make me rich? No," he laughs. "Actually that's none of your business, but no it's not going to make me rich." "

Men without hats rock. Almost as good as Devo. And Devo is some great stuff.

BTW Dazzag, are you high on something right now?
