3 Dimensional Chat / On the fly OBJ to X

I am writing a Halo 2 map editor and I finally got it to extract models . The problem is they are extracted in OBJ format and I need them to be in X format to display them. Is there a command line tool to do this that I can run while the program is running. I obviously can't use 3D studio max to do the conversion.

No command line tool, but I don't see why you can't use Max.
There is an impoter export for Wavefront OBJ, in-fact I think it's as standard now.

There's Milkshape3D, I use it all the time for converting Maya mesh; annoyingly it crashes trying to load .ma from 6.5 (typical no support) .. but it's cool with .obj

Deep Exploration converts .obj to .x

It's what I used to load UT2003 maps into DBP.

It's M-E-G-A-T-O-N. NOT MEGATRON.

I need them to be in .x so they can be rendered in my app. I can easily convert them will Deep Exploration or any other program, but I can't tell the user, "Here's 320 OBJ's, convert them to .x and run this program again."
